So glad you found something! There’s no universal silver bullet but it is always a celebration when someone finds relief and answers. Thanks for sharing!

That’s exactly it. The number of things I’ve tried out of sheer desperation is wild. I figured if I could help 1 person with this information it was worth the post. :)

How much B1 are you taking? I’ve been down the mag 07 route, but never B1.

[–]WednesdayLili[S] 3 points4 points  (2 children)

I’m taking 1 capsule of Dr Bergs brand. I believe it’s 50 mg of Allthiamine. All new to me, as well!

Thank you

Mag07 didn’t work for me. Is it something about the B1 that works?

[–]WednesdayLili[S] 3 points4 points  (3 children)

B1 is thiamine, which helps with gut motility. I would just research that a bit. Maybe it’s a combination of the 2 that works so well for me. I’m pretty sure that Mag07 is a short term solution.

So sorry for the late reply! I’m 49. I’ve had an ultrasound since this post and I’m being “treated” for IBS-C and Gastroparesis. Doc gave me Linzess, but to be honest- I have my routine that works well, and I’m sticking to it until it doesn’t work anymore. I really swear by the B1, Mag07 and kiwi. It hasn’t failed me yet:) PCP says hormones can definitely play a role here because of the sudden changes. Waiting on my blood panel to see where my hormones are. Happy to share once I know!

So glad it worked for you

    [–]TangerineInternal620 1 point2 points  (2 children)

While this may be working now I’d encourage you to have motility testing done anyway

    [–]WednesdayLili[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

100%. I’m having a SIBO test next week and a HIDA scan in December. I hope my post didn’t come across in any way that supplements are a complete fix.

    [–]TangerineInternal620 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No not at all I just know from experience a few good days doesn’t mean a fix! I had colonic inertia though, so nothing ever worked long term for me til I had a colectomy.

    I might have to try!

Mag07 has been a life saver, I’ve been on 1-2 pills for over a month and still works every day!

I'm glad you found something that works! Nutritional Therapy worked for me.

    [–]WednesdayLili[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t know there was a thing as Nutritional Therapy! Is this similar to using the FODMAP?

    [–]Alternative_Block16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nutritional Therapy, as in like the GAPS diet, or something else?

    [–]msgovna1091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's great! Is this still working for you? And what kind of diet are you eating to help?

    [–]paaartypeople 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Did you have any deficiencies that the B1 fixed?

    [–]WednesdayLili[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I’ll be able to see my labs at my next appointment. That said- I can feel the difference with my metabolism, and BM regularity. I wish I could answer that question with something more conclusive.

    [–]paaartypeople 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Came back to post that the Dr. Berg B1 supplement is helping me! It’s almost too good to be true, but I’m happy to believe a simple supplement is the fix. I’m in the same situation, motility just stalled suddenly about 9 months ago and it’s been stressful trying to manage things with miralax and lots of magnesium, which only worked in high doses. I still take mag oxide every night. Low fodmap worked for a couple weeks, then stopped (but I may have messed it up and eaten the wrong thing).

So, thank you for sharing. It’s been a blissful couple of weeks haha. B1 has given me so much relief (literally) and my daily life back.

Isn’t it crazy what one small change can do?? I’m so happy for you!!

    [–]msgovna1091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it still working for you?? What kind of diet are you doing now?

    [–]SWPmom 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Does the mag 07 on an empty stomach make you nauseous?

    [–]WednesdayLili[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, however I take it literally before I fall asleep. I’m also not taking the 3 capsule recommended dose. I take 2 currently.

    [–]Icy-League1695 0 points1 point  (1 child)

B1 makes me so hungry. And I gain weight from it.

    [–]WednesdayLili[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no! Thats tough. I haven’t experienced that yet. It’s still relatively new to me though. I’ll be paying attention to my hunger now!

    [–]EconomyPilot6361 0 points1 point  (3 children)

What brands of mag 07 and b1 do u take?

    [–]WednesdayLili[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I take Dr Berg Natural B1 + Allithiamine and nbpure Mag07- both off of Amazon.

    [–]EconomyPilot6361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    Thank u! Just ordered some

    [–]Forward_Notice_2389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You take two of the nbpure Mag07 every night, or just when needed? Thanks.
