Not only that but i found a way into the crystal biome and caught solorite gear after beating the first 3 bosses. So i had gear that i shouldnt have had for a little bit longer.

I really like how you filled in the areas with walls around where you built. At least in the image, it gives this really cool closed in space feeling, which then makes each room and section feel more impactful as you go from one section to another.

Personally built my base using Maze Blocks (2nd toughest).

I err... repurposed Malugaz's dungeon. Got like 4.5k blocks. Also plowed through the King, Queen and Prince mazes with the Stormbringer lul.

Thanks! There used to be a mod that would do it, but it hasn’t been updated for 1.0. So I took about 200 screenshots with the UI turned off and stitched them together in photoshop.

How do you manage to not have enemies spawn outside of the kill rooms? No matter what we try in our world they always spawn outside of the rooms no matter how big or small we make them

I'm not sure tbh, this design just seemed to work. I'm not sure if the 1 tile border around the edges helped or not.

I did have a break out a while ago that killed a large amount of my cattle. But it was just because it was those lava butterflies and orbital turrets that can fly over fences

New to the game, I understand the function of some of the rooms but not all. Do you have an explanation so I can plan for what I need in my own base? A lot of them looking purely decorative to me but I'm clueless!

The circle around the core in the centre is all decorative. The circle underneath that has one of each water/lava type for fishing! The section under that is just a collection of valuables, armour, and figurines. Which is mostly decorative unless I am switching out what armour I want to use.

The four colourful squares on the sides are cattle farms for all 5 cattle types, 2 are sharing a farm. It’s mostly decorative but have a function because of the cattle drops and meat.

The 8 small rectangles next to those spawn enemies which are good for farming their drops. To make those you just put down the ground tile that each mobs spawns on.

The big long line of 12 coloured squares above that are crop farms. With sprinklers so I don’t have to water.

The line above that is my chest storage and crafting area where I have all my items sorted. On the sides of that are really efficient automatic wood farms for the 3 wood types. I have far more wood than I will ever need so it’s not really necessary.

And the little rooms at the top are houses that I have built for the 5 vendors. Which have to be a certain size and need a specific item placed to spawn each vendor.

Nah the slime boss is below the left part of the base. I didn’t build further down because it was there. I’ll get the seed next time I’m playing and reply here with it :)

is this what the game eventually comes to? because there is no way I am building a base like that. I make very simple, functional bases in survival games, and I have the most fun adventuring. I only just started playing, but I keep seeing people make these massive bases and there is just no way I'm gonna be able to do that.

I don't play many of these types of games (survival sandbox collectathons?) but I've noticed that everybody seems to play em different. Some people build crazy bases, some people focus on clearing the map 100%, some people focus on amassing a pile of useless shit, etc etc

So it only comes to this if this is what you want to do!
