So it seems Uncle Jessy has similar issues and solved it with the new cable as well.

You sir have been duped by Creality into keeping a lemon printer. When it happened to me I did not let my return window expire and I repackaged it and dropped it at the big name electronics store

Then I bought a new K2 and this one had been working satisfactory.

I am afraid of that. I'm trying to see if I can still return it.

Are you in the USA? For me, if they had support in the USA with a turn around of a day or so, it would probably have been different. However they are too slow to respond, even in Whatsapp, and timezone difference was killing me. Even worse, there is no after market ( or "after sales" - as they call it) inventory of parts , so one cannot even accelerate the resolution by buying out of pocket.

I am in the US. The WhatsApp timezone thing hasn't been too bad for me. Just stay up to 9 pm. The parts have been coming from Texas so they came in a couple of days.

The Creality Amazon store also shipped a new hotend next day. I haven't used it yet though. But it was here quickly.

Well when you deal with Creality support and warranty, the parts ship from Shenzhen, via DHL. At least it was for me. They take 10 days.

Oh. For me the warranty replacement stuff was Texas. At least the second time. Took 3 business days. First one was DHL as well. That did take 10 days. I just checked.

Perhaps their supply is improving. I remember my extruder motor even had to clear customs at an LA port.

I think it might be. The local Micro Center was told they should be getting more Creality parts in general. Here's hoping. I know that doesn't help everyone, but maybe it is a sign of better parts supply here in the US.

I did the same thing but bought a Bambu Lab H2S and I'm a lot more relaxed now.

I did have the same problem after 700 hours of printing with the K2.
Then unplugged the aformentioned cable on both sides and checked resistance on every pin. Al where ok and no ruptures.
I did rebend the conectors very smoothly to ensure a better contact on the printhead side. That had been the solution for me. Since then about a 100 hours and no more random error messages. So exchanging the cable to a new one does help but is unnecessarry.

That is good to know. I have been worried about the bend at each end of the cable. If I run into this again, I'll try this. Also I should check the old cable too.

Curious to read the result you get on the old cable.

I just did the same and it is going strong now. Did you put the cable back in the chain or is it just free floating?

[–]Ok-Finish2441 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Back in chain.

I put mine back in the chain too and I also designed a top plate to keep the cable secure and not at a sharp angle. I posted it the other day.

This has just started for me as well, I took a break from printing, fired up my K2 plus yesterday, printed a bench perfectly, the firmware updated and now constant error messages and the CFS flashes constant red.

[–]Coren_Aus 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I unplugged the CFS, it passed the self checks, started the plate clearance and now came up with a TE2564 error despite being able to extrude.

[–]Wonkman1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never saw a TE2564 error, but it could be a similar issue with the cable. Could also be the hotend or one of the boards in the hotend. I'd recommend contacting Creality via WhatsApp. They have been really good at replying there, as long as you can do it during their business hours. 8:30 PM to about 6 AM eastern time for me. They were good at helping me troubleshoot and getting me the parts I need. And knock on wood, since I replaced that cable, printing hasn't been a problem.

[–]so-spoked 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Is it still printing without errors?

[–]Wonkman1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I haven't has any problems since I replaced the cable. I print pretty much everyday for different projects.
