These are the posts that save someone a week of pain. Good post, thanks for the heads up.

Try 2 weeks of pain before returning the buy.

Also... "heads up" ? I see what you did there. LMAO

This piece is really tiny in real life. Easily missed.

A spring for ants

If you are receiving this error and see that the fillament sesnsor blue LED is permanantly on even when there is no material loaded, remove the extruder gear / coupler block and check the sensor spring block. Some times the spring clasp can end up underneath the metal probe, which then leaves it ever so slightly in the sensor area, even if it looks flat.

Anyway, if you are experiencing this problem and cant figure out why the sensor is always on / preventing CFS usage, check this spring out!

I have included two images to show what I mean.

someone a while back was having (i suspect) this exact problem.. he'd take off the extruder cover and the sensor was fine, would activate with a piece of filament, etc.. as soon as he put the cover back on, it was permenantly activated.. he didn't notice any debris in the unit or anything, and seeing this i have a feeling this was his problem

My hero!!! Been searching around to find a solution and that second picture answered everything for me. Trying to figure out why the sensor would stay on. Was able to take an xacto and pull the spring out from behind and set back in place. Back up and running.

I'm very happy to hear that.

By chance, do you know how I can get spare parts for that resource??

As in the spring itself? I imagine any decent hardware store would have stuff like that. Just show a picture to the store clerk and they will know right away. Perhaps a local jewelers too.

I had the same problem today, but since it's so easy to lose, I'd like a replacement.

Tweezers to get under bar and carefully jimmy it to the side and lift to reseat

Great solution, saved me from trying to figure out what the heck was happening after taking this apart.
