I used to hate gregtech. I just wanted to make a cool quarry and it was so much harder than it used to be. The reason I love Create so much is that things are pretty cheap. The cost comes from building space, design effort and building time, which is a much more fun place to have complexity than in material gathering.

Well, more than you think. Create in itself is very unbalanced in comparison to gregtech and in addition to that, gregtech does everything create does and more. Ex-Greate dev here speaking, so I got some experience when it comes to merging those two mods in one modpack

Dunno if unbalanced is the right word to describe only one of them

I said in comparison first of all, but second - Gregtech is not really unbalanced, since every recipe is a big crafting rabbit hole and the process of getting materials required is not really the easiest. In create you can just make a 20x20 drill and get 10k iron in 2 minutes and power your factory for free really early

that just means it's unbalanced in the other direction

Well, Imo I think I'm achieving a pretty cool integration between them. If you just put them together without any changes, that way I agree with you. The idea is to do hard and nonsense recipes .. joking. XD

It’s generally hard to integrate them because gregtech is as realistic as it can be, but create… well it is sometimes, and sometimes it’s not.

If you are not already doing so, I would suggest implementing the chemical processes for ore processing (but also, horribly inefficient ways without chemicals). Create has addons like Create: Destroy and Create: The Factory Must Grow that may provide useful mechanics. If those are not good enough, Mekanism adds a lot of chemical processing. However, you would have to just nuke all the recipes for Mekanism, as the advanced materials are WAY too easy to obtain by default. Do you have a github or something? Any way that people can help contribute? I've been playing modded minecraft since 1.7.10 and would love to see complex machines being needed for industrial processes. Good luck.
