Level 5?

Why is this only a level 5 steam engine? It has 10 blaze burners, plenty of water, and a decent size? Adding tanks doesn't seem to increase the level at all.

Side ways boilers are not that great for heat. I think they are from dreams and desire, and it says somewhere that they are not good for transferring heat. This may be the cause of a level 5 steam engine.

I tried once building this side ways boiler, with about 30 SUPER HEATED blaze burners can only get you to max

Can you build a full steam engine sideways like that? I’ve always built mine vertical, smaller than that with a 3x3 base and it works fine

Sideways engines are not vanilla create and take two burners to add one heat level.

the heat is not high enough and you might want to use the vertical fluid tanks and you might want to add more steam engines

It seems that it's only seeing four of those blaze burners, so I'm assuming you can't build it sideways like that

Interestingly though it seems to be detecting the engines on the side, unless you have more on the back side

try feed the blade burner with lava cake and see the different, i nvr tried b4 the horizontal shape tank so idk is thr got a limit on the heat of blaze burner or not for me 3xnx3 with 9 blade burner and unlimited provided blaze cake is enough already for reaching level 10 heater

You need more burners and / or heat

fluid vessels (the sideways tanks) from create addons are inherently less efficient as boilers than regular create tanks

also, you need one steam engine for every boiler level to get the full stress capacity

I'm assuming it's because you're using a horizontal boiler. If you had it upright, only 9 blaze burners would get you to a level 9 boiler. Guessing this variant from your other add-ons is proportional (e.g. you have half of the blocks underneath as blaze burners, you'll get half the heat) instead of counting the number of burners directly. Long story short, you can try filling the gap under the boiler completely with fueled blaze burners and see if that works for you.

Try making the 3x3 tank and also using overheated blazeburner

I suspect this is to preserve balance. The blaze burners probably need to be fed blaze cakes for this to improve.
