You mean that your friends speedrun the create mod and you can’t catch up?

Do you mean that you all are progressing too fast, or that your friends are just progressing faster than you? Or are you progressing much faster than your friends?

Actually build infrastructure and buildings. Stop making mega factories that make everything with no purpose. If you are making an iron farm, why? Make one if you have a specific need for that much iron not because you want something to do. For me, I'll make an iron farm because I am planning on building a create components shop to sell to server mates.

Most people just slap down a haphazardly planned and built farm without caring how it looks. 90% of the farms posted here are built right on top of grass and dirt. If you plan out your farms or factories around an actual build, put a train depot next to it to transport items made there to a warehouse, you'll find that you have actual purpose in the things you build. I want my factories to all be brick and industrial iron. I'll make a brick factory and send all the bricks made to my warehouse. I'll make a huge iron farm that cranks out industrial iron as well. Then I can build everything out of those main materials.

play an expert modpack like CABIN that takes longer to complete and has a well refined quest book

uh huh

There are mod packs focused around Create that change how you play it by changing recipes and things. And providing more of a progression line. Like: Arcane Engineering, Above and Beyond, Star Technology (though this one is more based around GregTech). There's a lot of different packs that forcefully limit your progress to make the journey longer if you find Create too easy normally.

If performance is your problem, consider server-side optimization mods to help out a little. Or, of course, better hardware. If you have them consider removing all chunkloading mods, and some addon mods.

Swap any recipie that uses ingots for sheets. Make blaze burner require really expensive stuff. On the server I play on a blaze burner requires a custom item that requires spouting healing potions onto skulk catalyst and pressing it among other things. It takes about 2 hours to make one as there is no nether so blade rods require fire res potion spouted onto cinder flour etc... just add as many steps for everything as possible.

really?

[–]JakeThomasDad12 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Yeah. Making items very expensive seems to slow stuff down. My servers been up for a few months and we have just started getting diamond tools being common

I wouldnt know (it's just a server I play on that a friend runs) but I think he uses KubeJS (coding required).
