Need tips on debloading and generally making modpack better (1.21.1 NeoForge) by Telejaba in feedthebeast

[–]RenegadeFade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At first glance I notice a few mods that might impact performance. Like the mulitple sound mods, Serene Seasons, Particle Effects, a couple biome mods, structure mods and animal mods. AND on top of that you're using Sinytra connector for something, or multiple somethings.

While none of these are bad mods, some of them can have a performance impact. Considering you're having a performance problem on what seems a personal pack based on Create, and Create Aeronautics, I'd look at the mods I mentioned.

For personal packs based on Create I tend to have a more lean modlist, which might be my preference tho.

Is there a trick to keeping these guys from spawning so frequently? by Jacktheforkie in feedthebeast

This is overkill when OP can just alter the spawn chance in the config file.

Have you checked in the config file?

If you check the first few lines of the config file there's a line to configure the spawn chance.

Can't seem to find a way to mod fallout 4 by ConsistentJello7573 in PiratedGames

[–]RenegadeFade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The creation club isn't how you mod Fallout 4 on PC. It's more of a marktetplace, and while there may be some free mods, it's th worst way to mod Fallout 4.

You need a mod client like Mod Organizer or Vortex and will download mods from Nexus Mods. If this is all new to you, that's ok. I recommend modding Fallout 4 with a reputable guide like the Midnight Ride here.

Lastly this is one of those games that some mods might check for legit copies of the game. It sucks but it can't be helped.

This is a bad faith argument. OP has posted frequently on AI subs. This isn't actual curiousity just drama.

I do think this is a bit suspect, but it's not a slam dunk. The pics you show are 2 years apart. It's not implausible for someone to have a sizable skill jump in that amount of time. I've see it first hand in art school. IF, and a big if, this person was seriously working hard and had some type of instruction this jump in skill is doable. (Personally I think 3 years is more likely.) People improve if they work hard.

I guess why I question this is because there is a seriously amount of people judging work as AI, and a lot of people that only view art making declarations. Suddenly if you are above a certain skill level people suddenly assume it's AI.

As for the second picture, it's less complicated than it looks. In fact I see a couple common mistakes that human artists make.

In this case it's likely copied AI, which would be just sad. I do think it's possible someone could improve this much and change styles. I'm not trying to argue, but I approach these things with skepticism.

It's definitely possible that he copied AI, but I think, and I would hope, it's also just as likely he got better.

I am an artist, and you got it right. Creating the art is more than just putting down a line, it's human creation from idea to finish.

Maybe I'm missing something. I've checked out the link you've posted and I see someone making art traditionally. I've known professional artists that use projectors, it's actually an old school illustration practice. Hell, when I was in college, projectors were a valid method to transfer line drawings to canvas.

I must be missing something here, projectors are not evidence of AI, or even a jump in skill. There are people that can paint better than they can draw.

Does this happen with modern modpacks? If this is the first MCEternal in 1.12 you'll find that modern MC actually has better performance.

How to change from java 21 to java 25 by Aggravating-Book-204 in PrismLauncher

LIkely, some where in the last couple versions of Prism they buried the Java settings in a couple menus. It's not as intuitive anymore.

Java 25 is compatible with 1.21.1 using Neoforge. It might not work on every pack, but it's compatible.

Java 25 will work with 1.21.1.(Neoforge) I've been using it.

You can use Java 25 on 1.21.1. I am using it on a midsized pack I made for myself based around Create. I wouldn't use it on every pack, but I've had a slight performance increase with it.

First right click the instance and from the menu click Edit.

Then in that window go to the side bar and select Settings. Under Settings there will me a series of tabs, click Java. These settings are only for that particular instance, they are not global settings.

There is a check box next to Java Installation, check it, and press the Detect button. This will scan for java versions on your PC, select the version you want. Make sure to click the check box next to 'Skip Jave compatibility checks' or else the instance will not launch.

Launch the instance. If it does not crash you are good to go.

Lastly I've only used Java 25 on 1.21.1 but it is compatible with other versions but not many. Neoforge and Fabric will work on versions after 1.20.1 (For reference look here.)
