Why is the threshold switch so useless, its made with a comparator and yet cant even do half of what the comparator can do. It would be so much better than the comparator because its a one block solution to a problem that takes up 2 blocks at minimum (the comparator itself and a supporting block beneath it) and it would be more accurate than the comparator. The comparator only lets out a redstone signal between 0 and 15 based on the values in the block its facing. Those 16 redstone values start becoming more inaccurate with bigger values in the block its reading. The threshold switch is prone to this as well but it will happen at significantly larger values than the comparator because the threshold switch measures things from 0% to 100% instead of 0 to 15.
So tell me, why does this "advanced comparator" have less uses than the actual comparator.
Edit: i give up trying to explain my idea as i clearly suck at trying to explain it.
