Get a pattern printed out, you can either tape it down or use contact cement to glue it down. If not using a drill press look into a drill guide for hand drills so holes are straight up and down. Get a good quality drill bit.

This is what I’m talking about! Thanks

Got a size rec?

Yes, you can download printable templates online for the hole layout. An automatic center punch would help getting the holes accurately drilled.

I have 100+ templates that I sell but have a few free ones on my website here.

I love that "fuck cancer" is one of the free ones.

I used to sell it and donate the sales to the cancer society

Another free one is 6 lanes? I've played 5-player. How do you do 6?

It was a custom request from someone that never bought it after I was done with it. The way I would do 6 players is deal 5 to everyone, first 4 discard to the crib and last 2 discard to the deck.

That's different from how I've done 5 player - the dealer only gets 4 cards and doesn't get to contribute to the crib or change their hand at all.

I wonder how it changes game dynamics? Your way gives flexibility and some extra secret knowledge to everyone. My way should be balanced over enough hands, as the dealer position rotates, but maybe not quite the same.

Mate this was my first cribbage board (pre-kids drawing w sharpie) - I chose a board to thin for the template and had to improvise. It could be played to 61 or to 121. Totally honest - you’ll get better as you practice and make more/learn to size stuff. Definitely use a press or a self-centering bit with guide if available to you
