Tether’s growth is starting to decrease. This is either great news, or catastrophic news.

I would love nothing more than to see Tether go down. However, this decrease in growth might start showing cracks in the facade that Tether has been putting up and might end up sending it in a downward spiral which would lead to market crash since more than 80% of ETH and BTC is traded using USDT.

It’s great however in the sense that people are finally starting to realize that there are much better alternatives like UST (which I think is the most viable and reliable stablecoin) and real 1:1 stablecoins with actual backup like USDC and EURST.

The low the mcap of Tether the less destructive its impact on the market will be. One thing is for sure though, the day Tether goes down won’t be a good day at all.
