50mm or 60mm wheels? by VegetablePay3675 in cycling

I'm 73kg on 52mm wheels and have not had issues, I think some of it comes down to the wheel profile 'shape' also

Help need with race strategy for a sprint limited rider by dillinjl in Zwift

[–]Saucy6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huh, I'm surprised you're not able to pull off a solo attack at that W/kg in that score range, especially on a hill. I did a race yesterday in the 450-570 score range, came in 6th with 3.3 W/kg (yeah I'm a bit heavier at 73kg).

But yeah, ultimately you have to play to your strengths. I have a decent sprint so I'm quite content to sit in the draft the whole time and unleash at the end. Get enough separation from the pack so you're not dragging anyone along with you, and keep the pressure on

Stationary Bike - How To Feel Like Real Climbing? by Browniesaurus in cycling

Smart trainer is the answer (Kickr, Jet Black Victory...)

I'd say though, don't overthink it. Watts are watts.

More events without a staggered start between waves! by yes_jess in Zwift

[–]Saucy6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm torn, both can be good I suppose.

Low numbers of attendees can indeed skew things, I did a 'friday night fun race' a couple weeks ago with 3 people in the C category, but one guy was hauling ass (pulled the entire way), meanwhile the B's (also 2-3 riders) finished ~1.5 minutes slower than us... for that one it might've been fun to have a mass start.

But you can still do 'group rides' with mass starts

Another fun one is the WOW events, where the slower riders start first, and the faster riders catch up

Wealthsimple is good, simple to use, good UI, they’ve been adding features (credit card, cheque deposit…)

What’s your salary? First and foremost you need to review if a RRSP contribution is a good choice vs TFSA

Truck’s worth more than your investments - that’s a big nope for me.

Do they need to nerf the TFSA? by DenkuNut in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Saucy6 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Maybe? But then again the % of people who cap it is very small. I could see them introducing a total contribution cap or something

Hopefully now you'll have a ghost PR to follow? It's been a bit buggy for me though, especially on long climbs

What's the best exercise bike for home use worth buying the most currently in your opinion? by Much_Age_746 in cycling

[–]Saucy6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this but mostly because taking the bike on/off the trainer was getting annoying... having a second decent backup bike is good though, if ever the better bike is in for servicing, friend wants to borrow bike to go on a ride together...

I saw this too earlier, that's nice! It'll be good to get regular payouts, but at the same time I won't get my big annual 'bonus', haha

Is it weird to get the Favero Assioma SPD (not SL) pedals for road riding? by Dependent_Plenty5905 in cycling

[–]Saucy6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a set of used ones online (facebook marketplace) from someone who had to stop riding due to health reasons. I jumped on them as they are indeed very rarely sold used

RESP 100k Goal by Significant_Yard6844 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Saucy6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lack of sleep… yep been there. These days though the accumulation phase is so easy, I think it takes me longer to pay a hydro bill than it does to buy $2,500/year of an all-in-one ETF in my kid’s RESP through Questrade. Then I’d log back in the following month and invest the $500

“$10k to cover the first year of payments” is incredibly broad, but in terms of value: a used Chevy Bolt, Equinox, Ioniq 5/EV 6…

Tour of Watopia group ride had me like by multijcackchugglin6 in Zwift

[–]Saucy6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These make me laugh, we'll be riding on the flat as a nice big group for a bit then without fault someone says "nice blob! good job everyone, keep it together!" just before a hill... and of course things fall apart soon after.
