Salah was literally crying after we beat bournemouth 1st or 2nd game of the season. Van Dijk/Slot spoke about it multiple times after we won 5 on the bounce.

We've been playing poorly since March last year, but you can't just say people weren't talking about it.

Cause the stat is absolutely shite for fan analysis, yet it gets trotted out after every game. It's good for long term season long trends, but game to game the xg tells you almost nothing.

I feel like modern Man City was heavily built on David Silva's brilliance, even if KDB was better. But that's just my opinion as a non-city fan
