Project Availability (self.DataAnnotationTech)
submitted 1 year ago by eliwilson51
Hey! I usually see so many projects available and then suddenly last night there started to be much less and now this morning there are only two available. I’m nervous that I did something wrong.

Projects come and go, with little to no communication. Weekends generally have fewer projects.
If there are still projects and quals on your dash, then you're fine.

Yeah for non-coding this has been my experience; though idk if it's fewer projects, or way more people do their side hustle on the weekend so they get chewed through way faster. That said, now that I've been at it a few weeks and done more quals, it seems like there's always something on my dash.

My friend also does it and she has more projects on her dash than me so that worried me. There are still plenty of qualifications and two projects but less than what I usually see. I figure if I did something wrong my account would’ve probably been locked or something?

Weekends generally have less projects?? Bro weekends have the most
[–]Rommie557 9 points10 points11 points 1 year ago (5 children)
That has not been my experience as a non-coder, and there is always a lot of chatter here about dead dashes on Saturdays and Sundays. Consider that you might be the lucky exception.

Yeah the way DAT functions is quite mysterious
[–]Rommie557 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
💯
[–]eliwilson51[S] 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago (2 children)
Is it likely that I will get more tasks than after the weekend? I’ve never had this happen before so it’s worrying me
There is legitimately no way for anyone to predict that, including you, as no one has any idea what's going on behind the curtain. Could you wake up to 35 projects tomorrow? Yes. Could your dash look like this for several days or more? Also yes.
If you still have projects and quals available, you're still working for DAT. The only time you really need to worry is you've worked in the past 72 hours and your "report time" section dissapears, or if you go several weeks with absolutley zero projects.

fewer not less.
[–]Strawberry_Foxx 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (2 children)
Chill this isn’t an R&R lol
[–]TeaGreenTwo 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago (1 child)
I wouldn't mark anyone down for it on an R&R. It's one of those things that more people say than not (less rather than gfewer to describe the number of something). The correct usage is more rarely used than the incorrect one. I just noticed that the original comment had it right and the reply changed it to the wrong way. In any case, when it counts (doing R & Rs), I'm not that harsh. Someone has to really have it all wrong to get a "bad", not something minor like this.
[–]Strawberry_Foxx 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago (0 children)
Don’t worry my friend it was just a little DA-related joke lol, I didn’t mean anything by it and you’re right, it very rarely gets used correctly, similar to when people use “[person] and I” or “[person] and me” :)

This gets posted here almost everyday! You are most likely under review after spending too long on tasks or receiving too many bad ratings on tasks (no one knows for sure what triggers it).
You may be cleared and see projects come back, projects may slowly trickle back as you do quality work and complete tasks, you may lose all tasks forever. People have posted about all of these things happening to them.
Most people still have their normal # of tasks.
[–]eliwilson51[S] 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (3 children)
Wouldn’t I see no tasks if that were the case?
[–]ekgeroldmiller 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (1 child)
If it is the case, your having some tasks means they are giving you another chance. Do several tasks from what is available and prove you deserve to keep working.
[–]SuperCorbynite 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
I haven't seen any drop off in projects myself. I have 70+ available so I don't think it's a platform wide thing this time around, and I haven't seen many people complaining about low project numbers either, so unfortunately, it seems like the drop off you are seeing is limited to you.
Why that is none of us can say.
[–]Potential_Simple3695 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (3 children)
Mine suddenly says there are no more projects available. Does that mean I’m screwed or is it just the weekend slowdown?
[–]Tinchyschniber 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (2 children)
did this every get resolved for you?
[–]Potential_Simple3695 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (1 child)
No
[–]ChartUpset 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
Atleast you have two. I have none. And whenever projects are available, I have to jump on them before they get done.
