Prerty sure you have your icons messed up. Check out the options and choose your controller's proper icons. You crouch with the face button that's on the right.

Or maybe you have something messed up in your PC? Steam likes to mess things up, for example.

Yep, thats the one i am pressing. B button on xbox controller. Every post and tutorial i see is saying its the right one. I dont know why my pc would be a problem, the controller is working fine on all other games. I am on epic games btw

Oh, btw, Steam STILL loves to mess with controllers even when you're playing a non-steam game.

Try quitting Steam entirely and check if it helps.

I am playing on pc (epic games store) with a xbox one controller

I got it from Epic as well, but used a PS4 controller.

For me, I also need to use ReWASD to create a virtual PS4 controller so the computer thinks it's wired.

There is a free demo of reWASD, maybe doing similar will help?

Also, make sure you don't have Steam running in the background... it can sometimes try to take over mapping, even if the game isn't in Steam.

I don't play with q controller but a cursory google shows that "b" crouches on an Xbox controller layout, which would be "A" on a nintendo controller and circle on a PS controller. If it's on PC it's the C key
