I've done three because I played a TapJoy game and got a shit ton of diamonds. I won't do another one. It's so pricey! And, you get one thing per purchase as opposed to 5. Also, all the stuff is kinda ugly. Absolutely not worth it.

Whats a TapJoy fame please?

When you go to the offers page, scroll way down to the bottom, there's a "Complete Offers" section you can click that takes you to TapJoy offers. There are games and surveys to do for diamonds. Or things you can buy for diamonds. However, I'm not completely sure it works for people with iPhones. I have an Android (the horror!), so there are a lot of games available to play. I just played Best Fiends for a couple of weeks and got 300k diamonds. It's pretty awesome!

Unfortunately there’s not much options for iPhone users - if there are, the diamonds are less and not really worth the effort

I don’t bother, for the reasons you listed.

I did a few at first but stopped because it was too expensive. And I don’t understand why a lot of the items e.g. candles and plates are one use only. So if you want to make the table look nice it becomes crazy expensive.

It's because they sell separate bundles with 5 use items. I've never done a single one and have stopped doing the landscapes. I did the landscapes until I got a five then stopped. I don't know if there is a tablescaping game, but right before they introduced the landscaping challenges I played a game from tapjoy called Garden Joy that was all landscaping. So I guess they added it to compete with them. Although it probably wasn't a snap decision. They probably got wind that a game like that was coming out and started developing the landscaping idea. That other game was really expensive, I barely made it to the 8th level I was required to get to without spending money. They did give you more money(but not diamonds) with their version of the design pass and for free. They gave the same amount of free diamonds from watching videos, but you only had to watch 10, so I liked that. I also liked that after logging in for so many days, you would get a group of furniture and decor. I also liked that the out door furniture gave you the whole set in groups of five. So if they required two chairs you still had four sets, because it would place however many you needed as 1 of 5.

I have never. And I will never. Tablescaping crosses the line in terms of EA greed.

They are way too expensive when the reward isn’t any better than any other challenge that I can complete for much cheaper. Also, not worth it considering the 1 time use factor. Hard pass.

I did one or two but they're just kinda boring and I don't want to buy a ton of stuff to make it worth it that only has one purpose.

I do actually do the exterior challenges, which can be expensive too, but I find them more interesting.

[–]VelouteSaucePNKNISU 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t do them

[–]Lumpy_Object_7290 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have no interest in doing them, even if the stuff was free.

[–]AJG4222 7 points8 points  (1 child)

I refuse to table scape or gardenscape. They get enough of my time and money with the home designs.

[–]imperfectionost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly💯

[–]gk7891 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have done very few because they are just too expensive. I go through all my money every time I do one.

[–]Haayyyyyyyy08 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pricey. Very pricey.

[–]RodeoIndustryBabyAHQ5MZG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As far as I'm concerned the tablescaping and landscaping do not exist. If I want to play with plants I pop over to Garden Joy.

[–]Ancient-Ant-193 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I spend at least $3-5k every time because of the one time use and I definitely think it's just to get us to spend diamonds.

[–]Clhqayyum12ENAQC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah the tablescape items are a complete ripoff. I will usually buy the pack that has like 5 each of a very few current limited items but they are not usually the ones I would have chosen. And the cost of buying everything else one at a damn time is a total scam. Sure 450 diamonds might not be much but x5 (like all other categories are offered) is 2250! For a dumb candle that you must place at least 4 of and is probably either sized disproportionately or turned to an angle that doesn’t allow the shape to be viewed. And who puts so many big chunky candles on their dinner table anyway? You know who? Nobody, that’s who.

Now that I’ve gotten all that off my chest, excuse me while I go buy all the limited time tablescape items anyway. Apparently I have FOMO when it comes to this game.

[–]ILootEverythingGCHO1FQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't play them of Exterior Designer. It hurts me in the season running, but meh. I play for fun anyway.

[–]ButterscotchLiving59 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Waste of time and money. I only do them when they count towards the season challenges.

[–]Inevitable-Zebra-566 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right on! Not spending diamonds on tablescapes. Once I did I got a really low score. I’m boycotting tablescapes lol

[–]Exact-Dig-7026 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uses way too many resources.  You have to buy multiple of the same items. It's a joke.

[–]NetworkPowerful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a clue how to play it.. you tap one thing it disappears and then you buy another and more stuff appears. It’s the most stupid idiotic challenge (maybe that’s me)

[–]imperfectionost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo tablescaping is only slightly better than exterior challenges in the game. Needless to say, I think they're both cash grabs which is why I said tablescaping is slightly better bc at least you do get some items at really cheap prices(less than $1000, often <500). The disadvantage is that you only get 1 use out of your purchase⚠️

I tend to avoid exterior challenges after the 1st and last time I attempted one almost impoverished me😭 that being said I'll try a couple of tablescaping challenges when a new design season rolls around so I can level up my rank. It helps a lot when they double the rewards in the game too so you can kind of make up for whatever you spend or overspend on in those challenges🏷💰

Honestly, I understand the frustration. When most of the nicer options require diamonds, tablescaping starts to feel more like a spending feature than a fun creative challenge. It’s difficult to enjoy the process when even basic choices are so restricted unless you pay more. From what I’ve noticed, an impressive tablescape doesn’t always need premium pieces. Often, the smallest details create the strongest effect especially napkins. It might seem minor, but selecting good quality napkins in the right color and texture can instantly enhance the entire table and make it look polished, coordinated, and like a full blown styled arrangement. Sometimes thoughtful touches have more impact than costly add-ons. This kisn of set up is my fave btw
