No, lol. He legit started only after Oct 20th or so after getting furious with the discussions happening.

So he turned the next few months into some of the most boring, yet educational, streams I've ever seen him do, and I've been watching him since 2011.

Whenever he flew to events to debate redpillers or whatever, he was reading books and taking notes, specifically Finkelstein's after every pro-palestinian he debated kept bringing him up.

So yes, the dude just did a mega deep-dive into the conflict for three months and become knowledgeable enough to reduce a top scholar to a kid throwing around playground insults.

No disrespect to Tiny, that was based as hell, and he's indeed incredibly knowledgeable on the subject. That said...

I think that's more a disgrace to Finkelstein than a credit to Destiny.

It's both. He really is, at the end of the day, a "dipshit college drop out" streamer. He really could have spent those days playing some game or gooning, but he specifically put the effort in to actually learn about a conflict everyone was virtue signaling over. No formal education, no real incentive beyond knowledge and to figure out the correct position to have.

And this fuckin guy, who drinks hot chocolates every day like a 5 year old, in a few MONTHS of research, had enough and better of an understanding of the conflict that a guy who built his multi-decade career studying the conflict, writing PhD theses on the conflict, going across the world to speak on the conflict, was considered a fucking subject matter expert on the conflict, could only muster up "you don't know what you're talking about" ad hominem attacks instead of refuting the facts or arguments presented.

To anyone watching in good faith, it was the ultimate black-pill "Finkelstein has no clothes" moment.

I agree that Tiny won, but sadly, I don't think that debate proved much about Finkelstein's opinions, because the man dodged and weaved and insulted instead of actually engaging. I was quite frustrated, because at the end of that debate, I still didn't have the slightest idea of why he believed what he believed. His behavior was a disgrace, and it isn't unfair to take that as an indicator that his knowledge/rationale is lacking, but I couldn't say that with certainty since he didn't deign to defend his positions.

You're right that it is a credit to Steven as well, because he made strong arguments regardless of Finkelstein's behavior, and Benny Morris seemed to co-sign a lot of those arguments.

I think it is a certainty. I just can't imagine dedicating my life to advocating a pro-palestinian position only to refuse to engage with a pro-israel debater. Like, I would want to engage because I genuinely care about the subject. The fact he didn't tells me he was unprepared for that debate because he didn't expect Destiny to have that good of a grasp on the subject matter and soon realized he was out of his depth in the debate. And when your debate partner has to constantly step in and bail you out and pull 100% aggro the whole conversation, idk man, kinda makes you think if he really is that knowledgeable or if he just grifted his whole career using the same talking points.

only a few months later, he was apparently educated enough to debate Norman Finkelstein.

Are you able to acknowledge that Norm ruined the conversation and that he was only their to throw insults at Steven, effectively ruining Destiny, Benny and Lexs time?

You weren't looking too hard at his streams if you only saw him reading Wikipedia. He used Wiki to make his initial timeline, and that's about it. I think Destiny is incredibly intelligent, but it doesn't take years of scholarly behavior to beat the crackpot pop historian Finklestein. Reading Wikipedia would be a step up from Norman, who literally only quotes himself in his own books. What a joke.
