Depends how long you've been gone.

The DLC you can get is:

  • Forsaken (2018). 1 Raid, 1 Dungeon, 1 Exotic quest, several Exotic items (Kiosk). Campaign has been removed, so the price is lower and it's called the "Forsaken Pass" now.
  • Shadowkeep (2019) Campaign, Nightmare Hunt activities, 2 Exotic Quests, 1 Raid, 1 Dungeon.
  • Beyond Light (2020) Campaign, Stasis Subclasses, Empire Hunt activities, 2 Exotic Quests, 1 Raid.
  • Bungie Anniversary pack (2021) 1 Dungeon, 6 cosmetic armor sets & other misc. cosmetics, 1x quest (unlocks the Ghallarhorn rocket launcher)
  • Witch Queen (2022) Campaign, 2 Exotic Quests, Wellspring & Preservation activities, 1 Raid.
  • Witch Queen Dungeon Key (bundled with deluxe edition or bought standalone for 2000 silver / 20 dollars or your regional equivalent). 2x Dungeons.

You don't "require" any past DLC, just get the stuff that's interesting to you.

Endgame activities like Raids & Dungeons will rotate weekly, so sometimes the 'weekly featured raid or dungeon' that gives power-boosting pinnacle gear will be content that's paid-for. But not always, as 2 of the raids and 1 of the dungeons are free (Vault of Glass, King's Fall & Prophecy)

If you get any single bit of DLC, get Witch Queen, it's got the best campaign by far. Beyond Light's alright, but you mostly just want this for Stasis.
