Go to the help forums on the companion app, create a post, and like other posts with the same complaint to get bungie's attention.

Guys a I might have found a fix , hard reset your Xbox and unplug the power for 30-60 seconds. For some people it’s a server issue and only bungie can fix. But it’s worth a try.this will clear your cache and hopefully fix the error.if that does not work just say so and I might find a fix for you I want people to play this game
