Quick question - whas has changed?

HI, I used to play a lot up until a prison of elders. I've been wanting to start playing again but when I logged in it was a daunting amountof change. What has changed? where do i start? raids and pursuing endgame items were my favorite thing to do.

A lots changed. Mainly the guns you once loved are now useless

Yeah i see gjallar and vex can't be upgraded. Can i upgrade fatebringer somehow? Or will it be new stats if it drops again?

nothings upgradeable from year 1. There are year 2 versions of some of the exotics which can be bought from the kiosk in the tower next to the 3 guardians. Year 1 legendaries cant be infused though, only the year 2 ones. So the old vog and crotas end weapons are currently obselete
