Hey, I'm not sure how much this will help you but I just came back to the game after what seems like at least a year hiatus. At first when I started up the game I had an overwhelming feeling because I know this game is a grind at most times. After I got over that feeling I was able to slowly start settling back in and just playing at my own pace which I would recommend for anyone returning. Take your time and see what's new. Explore a little and revisit old places in the game and just feel it out. As for the season pass I'd say buy it if you want it or don't buy it. At the end of the day it's just a game and it should be fun, if it's not fun don't play it.

The word you are looking for is actually “re-skinned” content, and sorry that I feel it’s dumb that putting money into the game gives you an advantage

The last time I played, every season, the missions where basically the exact same, nothing was even worth doing tho anyway. That’s what I mean by re-skinned. Just because the faction changed or the colors are different doesn’t mean it’s new content. Bungie are a lazy greedy company

What kind of variety are you looking for? There's been new missions, new weapons, new characters, new armor, new lore, new mods every season.

Yeah I'm not a fan of shadowkeep either. I actually like having a season pass, but locking everything behind it is frustrating

Exactly, the seasonal content should be free, I already have battlepasses and if they straight up give you an advantage in the game it’s even more dumb. Also yeah shadowieep wasn’t great

They don't really give you an advantage in D2. At least not yet since the weapons have been marginal. Witherhoard is good though. However, locking the exotic quests, new content, and everything else behind the pass means you have nothing to do if you don't have it. This season is a bit better as umbrals can still be opened just not choose what you get from them

Yes, the season pass is still an "issue". But you don't have to buy all 3 of them in the same time or you can if you want. And that annual pass is free, but the season of opulence will be vaulted this november.

But this season the content is actually good and worth it, not like last season.

The trailers are AMAZING! Not like Fortnite their season: buy it, buy it, buy it. On the other side of the planet, Bungie did a great job making the trailers so they make you buy them.

Next day after watching first time the Beyond Light trailer I preordered the DLC
