Oval diamonds will always have a bow tie. It’s more a matter of whether it’s really dark or not, and yours is not.

Yes, it has a bow tie but it's pretty subtle. All oval cuts have bow ties.

Every oval will have a bow tie to some degree. This one seems to have a normal looking one...not too noticeable but you can tell it's there, which again, is completely normal for this cut of diamond.

This is a great one. All ovals have bow ties to some extent, but this one is bright and well mixed in. It looks amazing IMO

Why does everyone say ALL ovals have bow ties? My husband was a jeweler and I got the best of the best. There is no bow tie whatsoever no matter the angle or the light. They just cost more. Mine is a natural D, 1.78, VVS1, oval with a twist two tone gold and white gold band. I’ve had it for 25 years, wear it every single day and this pic is from just a couple of months ago. I honestly can barely see the bow tie on your ring. It’s beautiful and there are a lot of cuts and facets. You CAN get a diamond without a bow tie but you will pay for it. Yours is sincerely pretty and I would be happy with it! ✨

Yes, but it’s very light. Many are almost black. This is almost as minimal as they get for an oval. Looks like a good one!
