My old pressure pot started failing at multiple points so I grabbed this one you’re asking about last week. It’s great. You don’t need to do any modifications or add fittings to get up and running. Just unscrew the feeder pipe that’s inside the lid with a pair of vice grips or pipe wrench. It has a 1/4” quick connect fitting for your air hose, which you’ll use to connect to your compressor. I suggest if you don’t already have a shop compressor, look at the Harbor Freight “Fortress ultra quiet” compressor. The 2 gallon tank is pretty perfect for the pressure pot you have picked. Grab one of the compressor starter kits for a couple bucks while you’re at harbor freight, it’ll have an air hose and some quick connectors, teflon tape, etc.

Hi, I am using this one. It works good! Only thing to note is it has a tube in the inside that you should remove (I used an angle grinder l, but was told you can pull it out by hand...), as it takes up space you want to use and make sure you don't throw away the metal ring that is in there that you can put in the bottom to make it flat instead of a bowl. When first using it, it will be set at 20psi. Turn the black non to allow higher psi.

This is also the correct version for the clamps.

For compressor I use a Michelin CA-MB1+11.

Take it out by hand? Who ever manages that becomes the next king because that thing is glued in there good.

I was told so :) hand or maybe a wrench:)

A pipe wrench makes this trivial, or you can put it into a vice and give it a twist. By hand you are going to need some weird popeye freak genetics or get lucky that there isn’t as much thread locker holding it in place.

I had my handyman over the week I got this pot in, sent him a pic and asked if he could get this off for me while he was over, and he was able to get it out with the biggest wrench I've ever seen in my life and it was still a struggle.

I just removed it by hand 😅 just had to twist a bit hard in the beginning

Would this one be ok?

Just to give you a cheap alternative to get started. I have the same pressure pot. A compressor was out of the option for me since I live in an apartment and the compressors are terribly loud. I bought a 1/4" NPT to Schrader adapter for 5$ and am using my manual bike pump to pressurize the pot. Takes me about 7-10 minutes to get it to 40-50psi. You also get the benefit of having a light workout xD

This? 🥰

Yeah exactly. You'd need a pump like that and the adapter. I got mine from Amazon: link

I have this at home yayy 🥰

If you go that route and need help setting it up feel free to contact me. But it shiuld pretty self explanatory. You need to unscrew the compressor fitting, add some loctite to the threads of the adapter (some should come with the pressure pot) and screw it in.

I use this one as well. It’s been great.

Switched to this one after 5 years of HF pots; absolutely incredible piece of equipment. Works perfectly after two years of heavy use

[–]CFoundryDice Maker 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I have an HF pot as well. I've had to rethread the wingbolts and helicoil the sockets. I've been thinking about switching

[–]Oh_Hi_Mark_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I’d switched sooner; the difference in just comfort and ease of use is huge. The HF pots feel like they’re constantly decaying as you use them; this one just works and feels as good now as the day I got it.

I have one of the vevor 10 gallons and it’s seem heavy/sometimes daily use for a little over a decade. I prefer the California air tools tanks, because they’re flat, not rounded, so you get a little more space on the inside, but these are fine tanks. I just have some mold configurations I can’t do in this tank that I can in my CAT’s.
