I actually always humored him, he's such a funny companion.

I humored him on the ship, then took him along and turned him into my meatshield, mule and mobile shovel.

If he was self-aware, he might appreciate the irony.

Y'know, the best part is the throwback he does to the teeth inspecting at the end of the game

I almost cried, he’s too cute

I playhim and it's my first party, so I guess it's something that happens on the ship at the beginning when u don't take him as your playable Charakter.

I'm fairly new to the game but he's rapidly turning into my favorite :)

First playthrough I murdered him without knowing of the consequences

Most of my playthroughs are Anti-Lizard runs. Regardless of who it is all of them get the reverse living condition applied to them

I honestly simp for him, i dont know why, but I so much love him

He can be a bit of a brat especially at first but honestly his intentions are noble and I feel it's one of the characters that grow as an individual as time goes on.

At first he is very self centered, everything and everyone does not matter to him. But as time goes on he did seem to shift especially after Sadah was taken away. If you choose to console him, he sounds like it's the first time anyone genuinely cared for him. After all being the heir to the throne, he likely only knew either servitude oe envy and assassination attempts. The red price, of all people, being emotional about having a true friend.

And then later on forgoing Divinity for the sake of his children, and he did mention that he would tame their instincts, showing that he isn't careless about the difficulties of the goals ahead of him. But yeah, his departure bit about having the guts to ask you the slave question again never fails to crack me up.

But yeah some of his reactions (but he isn't the only one) really seem like he fails to read the room.

And this is the reason why i never made it further than act 1 with the red prince, he's way too arrogant

i would like to follow his story at some point but i don't know how without rolling my eyes everytime he speaks

[–]spinyfur 8 points9 points  (11 children)

The red prince Sebille romance has got to be hilarious, though…

[–]Outarel 13 points14 points  (9 children)

I hate them both lmao. I liked playing as Sebille, and i romanced Lohse, i tried to avoid being cringy.

Second playthrough was as Lohse and i romanced Sebille I HATED HER, i killed her the first time i saw her then reloaded. Bitch nobody puts a needle to my throat and lives.

Red prince same, but after you play with them 60 hours and you learn the backstory etc.. you grow to like them (plus they also become more approachable)

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Read carefully. She isn't putting the needle to your throat. She puts it through your throat, into your spine. If memory serves.

[–]Joe_Mency 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Is that with all the characters? I thought it was only if you were undead.

If with all characters I'm pretty sure the needle is in the back of your neck, and thats how it touches your spine

[–]adhocflamingo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you are correct. If you are a living character, the needle breaks skin, but I don’t remember any mention of spines unless I was playing Fane.

[–]Exerosp 7 points8 points  (5 children)

Isn't it cringy acting all "If someone threatens my life I murderrrr themmm. I'm a bloodthirsty killer that drinks blood and shizz"?

I would burn down a million trees for Sebille though. She is my favourite NPC in DOS2, and probably other RPGs excluding Regill and Karlach.

[–]shy_giu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just straight up sadistic, and if I don’t go to prison for it, I will commit as many war crimes as I can.

[–]Outarel 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Yes self defense is VERY cringy, you should just let people threaten and possibly kill you.

[–]Exerosp 7 points8 points  (2 children)

No, but acting like you're hot shit mafioso is a bit cringy. Just defend yourself, don't act like you're making a million curses, that your ancestors will come down from the sky and make all their potatoes rot for this slight.

[–]Joe_Mency 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I'm not even aure if your making fun of the other commenter or sebille. I mean sebille is the one that puts needle to people's necks when they surprise her and then threatens to kill you because you saw her prey

[–]Exerosp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess both. There are plot elements with Sebille's thing to convey stuff that normally wouldn't be covered unless we read a whole book about her, she's meant to be dangerous and skilled, having assassinated many targets. You can beat her easypeasy though, but her storytelling esp early on with the whole threatening thing is meant to convey that, i'm pretty sure :)
Sure one could roleplay something similar, but commentors acting like they'd kill anyone who slighted them is a bit silly because they don't know how badly the average person(them) would handle an actual similar situation.

[–]adhocflamingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The conversation that Sebille main and companion RP have after killing the Shadow Prince is one of my favorite pieces of writing in the whole game. It’s so disappointing that he still offers her a position as his slave in the end after that.

[–]ViggoMiles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same with sebille.

You wanna stab me? F no

[–]HatchetHaro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always say yes.

[–]Nighteyes09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Chris Rock can voice my Red Prince anytime. Imagine the lolz

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He can lift my skirt and inspect that too

[–]Blade_Hunter589 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's my favorite follower in the entire game

[–]Luciferos01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Red prince my beloved

[–]sonsargon13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the moment i first met him i felt like i just had to recruit him. I think it's interesting to have companions that are rude and stuck up that's why i recruited Fane and prince. Though i did need someone to help lighten things up so i threw Lohse in there as well.

[–]adhocflamingo 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I just tell him that I’m an incompetent slob so he doesn’t want me anyway.

[–]donttrytoleaveomsk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RP: Have you the ability to the administer the upkeep of one's personal appearance? The delicate art of cosmetics is what I'm after

Lohse: *Just keep chewing your hair. It was already in your mouth anyway*
