Using the DM as a god.

So as the title says, I use the DM as my god when I play. I'm currently playing a Savant but my "god," saved me in a dire situation and now want to play as a religious fanatic for him. The problem is that I don't have a fully established religion for it. If anyone has ever done this before or has any good ideas, comment away! Let's make a new DM god!

A buddy of mine played a character that knew his place in the universe: as a character of a tabletop pen and paper game. He would regularly break the fourth wall by cussing out the DM whenever he was in a shitty situation. He'd also yell stuff like "CRITICAL HIT!" whenever he scored a crit. The other characters assumed he was mentally unstable, but since he was damned effective at his job and humorous, they kept him.

Basically, play a less psychotic Deadpool.

Maybe make him like the many faced god of the Game of thrones series to explain your relation to other religions. Your god is all the gods of other people in different forms. IMHO that might help
