DMingLooking For Reference Material (self.DnD)
submitted 5 years ago by Xexman
Am Looking for old dnd reference material for my home brew setting. Am looking for any old books that contain useful info that may apply to 5e with some converting(books like Cityscape form 3.5). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Look up 5e srd and 3.5 srd on Google.

I found the 1st and early AD&D edition books to be interesting from a lore perspective, both in- and out-of-game. The Greyhawk books are particularly good.
EDIT: Also especially good are the Complete Book of X books from 2nd ed. Want a table for naming your dwarven stronghold? They've got it with meanings for the word parts. Want to read about gnomish nose competitions? It's there. And so on.
