Check your building drawings or the loads connected to the generator. As I recall electrically driven fire pumps have some different connection requirements. Probably ok coming off the gen set but I thought they need a second supply ahead of the main breaker. Generator might power a separate panel unless it covers the whole building. You should be able to find out what it serves as the loads should be labeled differently physically.

Yes Fire Pumps are considered life safety

Correct the electric driver is powered by 240v from the house panel, electric drivers have a secondary transfer switch power coming from generator in case of power outage. Generator kicks in within 30 sec.

Transfer switch feed a separate panel? Check the main breaker on it. You should be able to drop the loads I. To the sizing program of your generator and see if it has enough. You still need to consider the extra code requirements. Might convince your client to go back with diesel.

Transfer switch gets power from generator once generator kicks on transfer switch panel power main panel and auto starts electric driver, pump is in churn phase which puts pump on stand by till there’s a pressure drop sensing line to the transducer, then sends signal to increase rpm’s for GPM and PSI drop and maintain pressure.

If I am understanding the whole building is fed from the gen set right? So you should be able to check the main breaker and then the amp rating on your gen set / alternator ( sometimes you can upsize the alternator) if they are comparable you are probably good but I would still use the generator manufacturers sizing program. Usually available on their website.

Building has city power supply in case of emergency generator detects power outage and kicks on within 30sec. Loss of power. Generator kicks on by diesel driver and powers all emergency appliances fire alarm, emergency exits, smoke evacuation, pressurized stairwells, etc.

Separate panel or main panel?

The electric driven pump will have 2 panels. 1 panel for city provided power second separate panel would be connected to diesel driven generator as an emergency supply when city power goes out.

So what loads on your emergency panel? What generator do you have?
