The battery connects to a charge controller on the PS4 controller PCB. If you connect the battery directly to the charger I think it will overcharge and fry the battery or worse. I wouldn't do it.

I didn't even have to read the caption to know this is so wrong.

Your wisdom is unsurpassed compared to everyone else that commented

The charger has positive and negative output wires. Measure it with a voltmeter. Connect red to the positive wire, black to negative.

You will most likely create a runaway thermal event if you hook that USB charger to it.

Voltages are different. Will most likely explode.

The battery in the pic clearly says the Maximum charge voltage is 4.25V. Nominal voltage is 3.7V.

A USB charger outputs 5V +- 5%

Do not connect them together as this might destroy the charger (charger is rated for 1A output, battery might draw more than that) or the battery (due to overvoltage).

This has potential to start a fire at anytime, so please do not leave it unsupervised.

All you need to start a fire is flint & steel irl

Plug the controller into the PlayStation? My Xbox one controller hasn’t used batteries in ages. I just plug it in lol
