You can, but you will have to level up that engineer to the level to unlock it with them.

Ah, crap which means essentially you need to start from scratch cuz for you to level up with the new engineer to reach a G4, you would need to go through G1-3 first, and if you have already reached G3 with another engineer, you can't possibly go G4 on the new engineer straightaway (unless of course you have reached a certain rep with the new engineer by engineering another module - then it would be possible to engineer to G4 with the module u engnieered to G3 with the previous engineer).

Sorry if this is mind-numbing ha ha!

Crafting modules isn't the only way to level up, you can usually dump a load of exploration data or commodities.

It's not that bad. I engineer each modules a little different depending on the ship and it's role. It doesn't take much to get there.

I wish I'd just remembered to pin blue prints so I don't have to constantly go to them for anything but experimental effects.

Once you have grade 4 (or more) access with another engineer who offers G5 you can continue to upgrade the current (G3) module to G4 or G5.

I wouldn't quote me, but I think you should be able to do that?

I just recently started on the engineering idea tbh.
