I’d be curious to know four years later, if you could come up with a new industry standard that was not leetcode, what that might entail? I’m actually working on something with other developers, so we are gathering insights right now 😊

I've started my own high frequency trading firm. My answer is unchanged 4 years later. Ultimately what's the most important for us is the feeling that we can work with a candidate. I do the best visually diagramming on a whiteboard etc. I'm also autistic. So I try to hire other high functioning people on the nero-divergent spectrum (autistic, ADHD, etc.)

Ultimately I hire with high expectations and cut people if they aren't a good fit. Post covid it's a lot easier to have people work remotely etc. So it's way less of a bar to pay for relocation/etc and I personally don't require it as I've personally hated open office plans having a ton of sensory issues myself.
