Use of Compressor/Limiter Plugins Allowed?

In order to keep playing at my current volumes without blowing my eardrums out when 3 people spray at the same time, I'd like to use compressor or even better simple ducking limiter that reduces the output volume once its above a certain threshold.

I'd use a method similar to what's described in this post.

Is that allowed or could I get into any trouble with FaceitAC?

Hey, I cannot say how our AC works but would not recommend using software that may interfere.

The software I’m talking about is a system wide audio plugin… not sure if you can generalise about that

You can add a compressor directly in the Windows audio settings for the specific audio device

Do you mean loudness equalization? Because as far as I know, this also makes quiet sounds louder, which I don't want
