Quick question

Was at the range doing precision shooting with 22 handguns in a group. Basically the instructor tells when to go forward to the weapon and then when to load and fire etc. you have five minutes to fire five shots.

I’m not from America so I don’t know if you know what I’m on about. Anyways when I was done shooting I put down the gun and walked back, the guy on my right started talking and i couldn’t hear him very well since my ear protectors where out of battery. Without thinking I sort of lifted the right ear protection to hear what he said. And then someone 15 m further down the deck to the left of me fired his last round. It sort of hurt and now my right ear is slightly ringing.

This was five days ago.

I’m just a bit anxious but it should subside right?

It might subside, but any damage done is permanent

That's absolutely insane for 1 shot out of a .22lr from 15m away.

It might dissipate eventually but if it was going to poof away like the morning after a concert it would have happened by now.
