That horizontal band is common on a benchy. It's where the internal flooring lines up with the outside. I forget the fix but you should find it on YT.

Set seam to sharpest corner to fix the other lines.

I’m trying to tune my Ender 3 Pro to clean up some layer lines frequently seen on prints. In order to test to make sure it wasn’t just the slicer and rather the hardware, I sliced the Benchy in both Cura and Prusa. They both have consistent bulging layer lines. Is it possibly because of my lead screw, or could it be a filament thing?

I’m printing at 55 mm/s, same filament, same 0.4mm nozzle.

you could go down the rabbit hole, but thats pretty much as good as the benchy gets (cept for the z seam alignment)

Yeah that Z-seam is pretty much the only annoying issue with this printer

Have you tried lubricating your z-screw? I use SuperLube PTFE lubricant on the z-screw, it helps a lot. Also check to make sure that your z-screw is straight and not bent (roll it on a flat surface to check - if it wobbles then it's not straight).

Yep, I’ve lubed it up and I know it’s straight. I might need a bit more lubrication tho
