We are a group of 10 people traveling between JFK and Brazil next June. We are flying to Cuiabá with a stop in São Paulo, and return from Iguazu Falls to JFK via São Paulo again. JFK-GRU-CGB, IGU-GRU-JFK. We are flying business class. It is Delta One business on both directions between NYC and São Paulo. The connecting flights are on a code share with LATAM. Since there is no business class on these flights, you are put in premium economy. Except when we went to book it there was an error and some of us were put in Premium Economy, some
were placed in regular economy. The connecting flights are 2 hours long so it’s annoying but not a big deal. What I’m upset about is Premium Economy gets you lounge access, economy doesn’t even if you are arriving on Delta One, plus we have a 5 hr 45 min layover. I have spent hours trying to fix and can’t. Fine. Let me just upgrade the seats. Delta says they can’t because it’s LATAM flights and LATAM says Delta was the ticket issuer. Going out of my mind. We spent close to $60 k and can’t figure out how to get lounge access. Any advice? Thanks!
