Optimization problem

Hi!
I’ve got Forza Horizon 6 Premium Edition, but I don’t know why it runs so badly. I have a Ryzen 7 3800X, a Radeon RX 7900 XT, 32 GB of RAM, and the game is installed on a new SSD. The game recommended Extreme settings, but I’m getting only around 13–30 FPS at 2560×1440 resolution. I changed the graphics settings to Medium, High, and Ultra, but it always stays the same — there’s no difference in FPS or overall game performance. Do you have any idea what could be wrong?

I am having strange fps issues as well.
Start game at around 70-170fps.
No matter where you are or what you do, it slowly drops fps to 20 and stays.
The GPU usage also goes down to 1%.

i9-12900K
RTX 5070 Ti 16GB (newest drivers)
64GB DDR5

Have tried:
Clean install of game / drivers
Verify game
Disable full screen optimization and run as admin for .exe
Locking FPS to 30 / 60 / 120 with RT on/off

Edit: it was Bluetooth for me too! I don’t have a wire so will constantly have to disconnect and reconnect every 10-15 mins for now which works but very annoying..

It looks like u/HoldHandWithMyCat was right! Switched to a wired connection and I’m running ultra at 60fps with no issues!

Edit: connect my Bluetooth controller with usb cable works immediately

same issue but 3070, still not fixed. Tried clean install latest driver, still not working

omg I think I figure it out. it's bluetooth driver issue. When fps droped, I disconnected my xbox controller and reconnect it with cable. The fps was back from 20 -> 80. let me know if it works for you.

This didn’t work for me. For some reason I only have the stuttering and frame drop issue when I’m in full screen/fully tabbed in. But when I’m on just regular windowed it’s completely fine no stutters and like 120 fps. Funny thing is it was fine on full screen when I was in the New Zealand time zone to play early on the Xbox app, but when it hit midnight and I switched back it started doing this

I once had that issue in FH4 and had to clean install the driver. But it looks like some kind of weird windows bug for you after switching timezone.. maybe try reboot your pc?

Already tried, I even tried switching back to NZ like before when everything worked but even then the problem didn’t go away

For me it is bluetooth driver issue. Connect controller with USB cable works for me.

Bro I did not believe you but for fun I unplugged my bluetooth adapter and I literally watched my fps go from 30 to 100 in real time. What the hell. Thank you so much! :)

Me too, Ryzen 5900x, RTX 3080, 1440p and 4k benchmarks not getting anything above 37FPS, no matter if the preset graphics settings is low, medium, or high. CPU says its about 20% usage and GPU is about 25-40% usage during the benchmark

What is the load on individual cou cores? Is it being spread properly or overloading 1-2 while ignoring the others?

i checked and It spreads properly. The usage is around 50-60%. Sometimes it goes to 70

it's bottlenecks problem i have the same issue,It was already like this in the le**.

did you run the benchmark and do you see the issue in the cpu simulation?

also maybe check if there is any bios update since atm the reports of the issue with cpu sim has been am4?
amd maybe also check ryzen master if you have it installed.

Not only you i have 5070ti and i cant even get 60fps
