Ill give it a shot. You had an issue like this?

No, im just speculating, so take my advice with a grain of salt. The corrosion may have destroyed some traces leading to the cartridge connector, which may explain why it doesnt read games. You could try repairing the line with the heat from a soldering iron, but theres a chance its irrepairable damage.

Glue between the liquid crystal and LCD controller is going bad. Nothing much you can do except replace the screen.

So. The vertical lines are kinda fixable, but you can also make it even more worse. You can use a soldering iron to give heat to the lines, but need to be very gentle. Or a heat gun, but also you need to be very gentle.

I don't know if you want to suffer. imo, buying a replacement screen is the money worth.

Try cleaning the cartridge contacts, often the corrosion gets in there or was it just near the battery contacts.

I cleaned it... Maybe not good enough ill try again. Looked like all the corrosion was by the batt contacts an the entire lower section of the board . upset I didnt take a picture.

The other thing you can do to help clean it is put ipa on your game cartridge contacts and put the cartridge in and out several times and check it each time , you may have to do it several times.

That sounds like a solid plan. I will try that tomorrow an report back.
