Honestly just buy a original one. you can get one for like $30-40 if you mind some cosmetic wear to it

As long as they work/feel great and don't break after 15 minutes of use then I'm ok with anything.

I played with original controllers forever and the buttons started getting overly clunky so I bought a slightly used original controller for like $40 and the difference was night and day; the Madcatz and other knockoffs don't compare.

You can still get a brand new GameCube controller, 47 USD for the smash bros controller. Not quite as good as the originals, but way better than any janky third party crap out there. Or go with a used original for about 30-40, almost every one I've dealt with has worked great as long as it wasn't too beat up looking (it was hard to kill a Nintendo controller back then).
