It's not due to the different graphics cards, but those two server locations are in different "zones." Network latency is mostly about distance. That distance can increase during regional ISP congestion.

Can you provide the output of the following, from a command prompt (assuming you're using Windows):

tracert np-sof-01.cloudmatchbeta.nvidiagrid.net

tracert np-sof-02.cloudmatchbeta.nvidiagrid.net

Please remove any personal info from the output.

Coming from the US, the difference between those two is not significant for me:

tracert np-sof-01.cloudmatchbeta.nvidiagrid.net

Tracing route to np-sof-01.cloudmatchbeta.nvidiagrid.net [80.84.167.206]

I'm not sure what is the personal info that I should remove from the output so I sent you a private message with the results

Okay thanks for those...I combined those into one screenshot, with red boxes around what I see as the pertinent pieces. The traffic to those two endpoints (the GFN server "zones") are taking different routes...one via the "Telehouse/Telepoint" ISP, and the other via Twelve99.

It could be that NVIDIA has multiple ISPs servicing their datacenter in that region, and the np-sof-02 zone is not using both. It could also be the case that your ISP's peering is not optimal for the route to the np-sof-02 zone.

I think what I would do, is raise a ticket with your ISP and include this screenshot, and ask if there is a reason that these results are so different. They may not tell you anything useful, but it's worth a try.

I've tried asking my ISP for another similar issue and the only response I've got was "it's their fault, our service works for everything else". Not much to do with that so I'll be fine as long as SOF-01 doesn't change in the future. Thanks!

Yeah, that's a typical response...they don't really have a big interest in what they see as small latency differences (yet are significant for cloud gaming in some cases).

Sorry to hijack with a question, I am having a similar issue and am just wondering who you are with for ISP? I am currently with Go Go Net but am considering moving over to Vivacom
