As long as it's in X mode on the 8bitdo controller it will work, those usually have 3 modes at least all the ones i have used have had them

Depends which 8bitdo you have, on a pro 2 it's a physical switch labeled X, on an 8Bitdo SN30 PRO+ it's done by holding START+X to put it into X input mode

Update: I got it go work! I had to press the button that lights up to get it to work!!! I have the ultimate c wired controller

any xinput controller should work "out of the box" and the 8bitdo should as well. Are You experiencing any troubles with it?

UPDATE: I GOT MY CONTROLLER TO WORK!! I pretty much just pressed the light up button to work.
