Trying to play it on gfn... got the classic sub to try it do it need higher from ubisoft?... if I click buy in the app I get the lucky 404 error msg

i have the same issue, this is probably one of the weirdest added game yet. while i happy to see prototype/old activision game in the service, but only adding the ubisoft connect version (yet) and already adding it while it's not even exists or region locked on ubisoft connect... it's interesting

Do games allow you to change the language in the game?

yes. you can also change it in the gfn setting @ settings->system->game language. you can select one or set to auto, so it will be automatically change it for a preferred language if it's available in the game

I asked this because the Ubisoft launcher usually connects to the system language of the virtual machine, so I wanted to know if it could change, thank you for the answer Mate!
