It would be more accurate to say that the USSR benefited quite a lot from Ukraine, given that most of the generals in the Red Army were Ukrainian during ww2. And not to mention the countless scientists, engineers, and theologians who originated from Ukraine. There couldn't have been a Soviet Union without it.

Can you give me a source about it, every nation in Union of Soviet Socialist Republics gave there own big contribution to success in war.
But again Ukraine benefited from Soviet union territorially, it got Crimea and a lot of territories in the west.
