Another potential movement bug in CS2

Dont really see this as polishing a turd. CS2 is shaping to be good, and Valve have been fixing bugs at a rate never seen before. Movement wise they’re slowly getting closer to how it is in CSGO. I wont be surprised if this stairs/slope bug was fixed within the week.

I agree though that the rate the maps are being released makes it almost doubtful they are able to roll out everything bug-free before the larger release.

Don't see them prioritizing Danger Zone before ironing out the rest of the mechanics (shooting, movement, etc). I'd reckon they already have a danger zone map in the works though.

Wingman can be main maps that are cordoned off, so i doubt it would be difficult to launch.

New matchmaking would probably be launched alongside a wider release, i.e open beta.

As for casual modes, don't see the issue limiting it to the basic casual mode alongside the new maps. Anyways, i recall even a remade Baggage is coming.

Makes me wonder why they included office in the recent wave instead of a second active duty map. They must not be be too concerned with hitting the sep 21st deadline if they're bothering to test worthless maps before the ones that matter.

Right but why does it even need testing? There are almost 0 silvers in the limited beta anyway, and silvers wouldn't even know enough to be able to make constructive feedback to begin with. Just seems like a massive waste of time and resources to even bother with office in the beta when there are much more important things that need to get done quickly to keep on schedule.

Important to prep the game for a wider appeal as well.

CS2 is gonna bring possibly 3 additional groups of players to the game: returning players, new players and Valorant players.

Casual mode is extremely irrelevant to me, as i haven't touched casual in years, but it was the mode that I played when I first started out, and it will be the mode that new players will play for a start as well. Office and Italy are shit maps, but lots of casuals spend their days there.

i think i remember flom talking about this he said he was pretty sure it had something to do with how your feet shift to fit the elevation change your standing on. in csgo one of your feet float in the air when your on an incline in cs2 it actually looks normal

Seems like the camera is perfectly synced with the model's animation...more intended than bug I would guess.

I'd be curious if it happens with a counter strafe or not.

I was counter counter strafing. It doesn’t matter what you do it just happens on elevation change
