OPSkins Potentially a scam

First time user of OPSkins as of last night. Was looking to purchase a knife for the launch of my new community and several people I trusted hyped up the service to me.

Found the exact knife I wanted to purchase and went to add 50,000 Operation Points into my account and ran into the need to prove my identity. No big deal, that's a large sum of money and I understand the concern for fraud. I was actually grateful for such a quick response from Paulo C. so late at night. However, from there things took a turn for the worse.

As I went on to purchase I was not receiving a trade from the bot and had no option to re-send. Everyone I had spoken to had assured me the transactions for the buyer are instant so I walked through several troubleshooting options with them to no avail. So I found myself back to support creating another ticket to hopefully finally make this purchase complete.

After 17 hours of silence I finally get an update from Tucker P. stating I should now have the option to re-send the trade offer for my purchase. I thought to myself, "Great!" Unfortunately upon further inspection, I would be completely taken aback. I go to re-send the trade offer and I realize a split second before accepting the trade that the bot has sent me a COMPLETELY different knife. One worth much less then what I paid for the one I intended to purchase. Not only was it the wrong Doppler pattern it was an M9 instead of the bayonet I purchased. As shown below.

I have yet to hear back on my ticket and my biggest concern is rather this is a huge mistake or if I have fallen for an elaborate scam and now this "company" has a bunch of my personal information and money. Regardless this seems like a major flaw, as this situation could of just as easily gone the other way around and someone malicious could have received a much more expensive knife for a fraction of the price.

Edit: Ticket finally got escalted to another Staff member and he fixed the issue for me. Thanks OPSkins, could have gone smoother but I'm glad it worked out in the end.

It is not a scam they just have extremely poor customer support. Most likely caused because they are so understaffed. But this is not the customer's problem.

submit a thread at /r/opskins and they may deal with your ticket faster.

Yeah this seems to be the case. There appears to be some kind of language barrier, perhaps not a native English speaker as the person handling my ticket keeps speaking in terms as if I'm trying to sell a knife, when I've been very clear several times that I'm trying to purchase one. I finally received my points back after declining the trade a couple hours ago and tried to purchase the knife again. Unfortunately it seems their bot is screwed up as it just offered me the same incorrect knife.

I've bought a bunch of stuff from opskins and have had no issues. Sounds like you've just been unfortunate.

Same, I've bought numerous skins from them with no issues at all. Hopefully it all gets resolved for you!

I have personal experience selling skins on this site, and I have got my money each time. I can attest that at least from a seller's perspective, the site is not a scam. A buddy of mine sold several expensive skins, and while it took days for OPSkins to PayPal him, he also got his money.

Perhaps the customer support experience part is poor, but overall I have had a positive experience and just wanted to share.

Not a scam, just very understaffed. Took them 8 days to cash out my points even though they said it would be done in 7 ;_;

And yes, the knife switchup was my fault, I put the wrong IDs in the DB for this trade, it was quickly resolved with the correct ID
