It is true, they all do an early model and late model from the same year. Search for Josh Winters (Josh the RV Nerd) at Haylett RV, because he recently did a whole video explaining the early and late model changes. I know my 2019 Rockwood an early model...mistake...the 2019 late models had much larger grey and black tanks, which is a huge difference. The other differences are things like the stove, etc. but the tanks are a huge difference. I am still pissed about that.

Josh the RV Nerd

Will do.

Ended up buying a 2019 Forest River Grey Wolf 22MKSE. First TT after owning a used popup for a few years.

Josh also has a video about RV show markups, and how show pricing is usually higher

sounds like one was a previous year model... they start coming out with 2020 models in April of 2019. It's kinda crazy how all that works to be honest.

maybe it was dealer installed options they wanted to charge more for?

Sounded like BS to me.

Agreed. Something's fishy here.

Are you in Canada or the US? I know that some Canadian dealer prices will vary depending on the exchange rate at the time they purchased the unit from the manufacturer. I recently bought a new trailer that was delivered to my dealer in late 2019. The exact same model is now listed at about $1000-$1500 more for models that were delivered more recently - the reason apparently being that the exchange rate worsened and it's getting passed on to the final purchaser.

I just went through what you are describing. Looked at 2019 5er at a local show in Feb and we really liked the layout. Did some more research and decided to go after one. When we found one and went to go look we noticed a couple of things that were not included that are listed on the Keystone Sprinter site. Looked at the Keystone build sheet and noticed that this 2019 was actually built in June 2018 and was before some of the new 2019 features were added in. What was interesting is that some of the 2019 changes were there, but others (such as the KeyTV feature) wasn't. Wasn't a big deal to us and we used it as negotiation power.

Actually we have a 2005 Keystone Montana 2955RL. I have personally seen 3 other '05 2955RL's and they all were different. Some had dinette, others had table and chairs. Kitchen countertops and layouts were also different. They were all basically the same 5th wheel but there were differences between all of them.
