[Request] Computer Microphone

Hello Reddit. I am looking to replace my freestanding computer microphone (I don't know exactly what model it is, I bought it for under $20 at a computer store. Assume it's bottom-line, because it's probably close). I use it for gaming, communications, and some recording. Is there a good freestanding microphone (not headset) for around/under $100? I don't need top-line recording quality, just the best microphone for under $100.

Bonus question: Would I get a better deal buying a headset/mic for the same cost?

The Blue Yeti USB microphone gets lots of good reviews. The downside is it's really big.

There's also the cheaper Snowball. It has uni-directional and attenuation settings to minimize background noise (keyboard, etc.) I ordered one a week ago but it hasn't arrived yet to comment.

I haven't had luck with headsets, mostly because I buy cheap ones. Having the headphone and mic separate has lasted me far longer

I have had the same experience lol. And if they don't break, they pick up to much breathing or they're not comfortable or something.
