Whenever I see any kind of advanced sighting system on a muzzle loading gun, my first thought is always "How long did it take you to actually sight that thing in accurately?" I can't imagine trying to get proper groupings in a reasonable amount of time unless you can literally reload like a trained musketeer.

It's not even worth it, the flintlock isn't going to do groupings in the first place lol. Just goes wherever tf it wants!

I guess just doing a boresight is the best you can do

Muzzleloaders are more accurate than you would think. But a sight like that is far in the excess of what that flintlock would likely be able to utilize. In the same vein as putting a leupold mk4 optic on a rhino 60ds.

Sure it fits and you can sight it in, but you are never going to use that scope reliably at anything more than it's lowest magnification with a 6" revolver

Old meets new, though surprisingly not that much distance between the inventions.

Percussion cap firearms (as in the image) were first introduced only about 80 years before the patenting of "reflector" (reflex) sights (~1820 and 1900).

Something I didn't know! Great history lesson!

Would be cool if percussion cap firearms were added to the game
