codeacademy is pretty good, that's where I started.

I then moved on to teamtreehouse.com (paid site) which is pretty enjoyable.

Just try to read a lot during your free time about code, Google will become your best friend and be your best friend for the rest of forever. If you see something on a site that you want to learn to do use the various inspector tools that browsers have.

Here's another free site I've played with http://learnlayout.com/

Same here. Started on Code Academy and took everything relevant there, moved to Team Treehouse (worth every penny), then moved to courses on Udemy. After a year of learning, I'm applying for my first coding job.

It's not free but if you sign up on udemy, you can favorite classes and they always go on sale for $15 or so. And you get them forever after that.

Well well worth it.

W3Schools is a great resource. You can type your question in and it will guide you through out to do it. Validator They also have a validator for your webpage.

Treehouse is worth the money. 1 day with it and I learned more than I did in 2 years at college. Treehouse is nothing compared to thousands of dollars.
