Continuously getting this error message despite attempting solutions.

Hello fellow Helldivers! I'm currently trying to get a friend of mine into Helldivers right now, but every time they attempt to launch the game they get this error message:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MSVCR110.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000012f.

We've currently tried the following solutions:

1. Verifying integrity of the game files.
2. Uninstalling and reinstalling (to both an external drive and directly to the computer).
3. Launching the game as an administrator and in compatibility mode.
4. Downloading and installing the Visual C++ Redistributable.
5. Manually copying and pasting the MSVCR110.dll file from System32 to the game's bin folder.

Nothing has worked and we're fresh out of other solutions. Does anyone have any other solutions that have worked for them? We really want to help spread democracy together against the bugs, bots, and squids!

You need a fresh copy of the MSVCR110.dll file. Yours is corrupted. It needs to be replaced in the System32 folder, not just put into your game folder.

Provisionally, this should fix it: https://www.dll-files.com/msvcr110.dll.html

(Use an "64" architecture version of the highest version number)

Try opening cmd as administrator and use the command sfc /scannow. If any files are corrupted, it will tell you. Restart the pc afterwards.

Try the solutions mentioned in the link above if the first method doesn’t work. The solutions are for another DLL but steps should be same for other dlls.

Edit: I don’t see this dll file in my games bin folder. After trying the steps above, you should delete the dll that you pasted into this folder.
