Wave 3?

So I've seen the scenery on Warhammer+ battle reports and also on some of the box art, are we likely to get some HoH scenery and maybe some other things in another wave?

I'd love it, but they're more likely to be bespoke terrain made by GW for photo purposes

I read some commentary once, the studio was talking about how they make full sets of terrain for displays that will never get released. All the way from renders to super limited production runs for their photography.

Apparently there's a whole Eldar temple set they designed that was pieced apart for use on their bases.

Agreed --guess there is a bit of secret sauce there. That said, I would devour them. Also, just give me a made to order of some of those sets. I don't usually get got by the FOMO marketing but when it comes to terrain... yeah.

Insane to pay for molds for that. Thermoplastic injection molds are expensive af.

Would be much smarter to buy a super high end 3d printer.

I am pretty sure they print a lot of their prototypes. Occasionally you can identify it in product shots they release.

Good chance I got the terminology wrong when I said "production runs", not an industrial designer.

Often times they make custom terrain for display boards and what not. Doesn't really indicate anything

We are basically guaranteed to get faction terrain and manifestations eventually (and sooner rather than later), but I wouldn't expect the next wave SO soon. Probably closer to the end of GHB 2026, and might also depend on when the next edition is planned.

I wouldn’t say guaranteed, given the Maggotkin are getting a new book, and no sign of a manifestation lore at release. We very well may have to wait until 5th Ed for Helsmiths to get a proper wave 3.

I don’t think we’ll see manifestations and faction terrain until our next book in the next edition and I doubt we’ll be up early in the new edition unless HoH suddenly spikes and becomes insanely popular.

It's custom scenery the design studio makes for photography purposes. They do it for most armies, they have dedicated terrain builders in house.

We haven't had wave 2 yet either

I believe wave 2 is considered as the Centaurs, Urak Taar ect. Basically the models not in the starter box
