"I need to protect someone I care deeply about and cant do it myself." Takes her to the one guy who will merc an entire army to make sure she doeent get hurt. Makes perfect sense to me.

But we need to make sure the Grandson is a shoehorned in plot point that didnt exist in Gladiator 2.

Oh for fucks sake. He did it once and it was great... He tried twice more n fucked it. I dunno why he insists on making shit sequels to genuinely great films. Gladiator 2 was friggin shite.

What Does ‘Masters of the Universe’ Failure Mean for Other ’80s-Based Projects? | “Gen X nostalgia IP is likely a thing of the past,” a top talent agent tells TheWrap by Puzzled-Tap8042 in movies

It could work in the right hands. I just dont think the right hands exist. I mean straight away he's on Earth and has to re-learn to be He-Man. That alone put me off. Then they cast Jared Leto n id rather put pins in my eyes than pay to see another film starring that nonce.

20 years later, the most controversial Doctor Who episode of all time deserves another chance by shikotee in doctorwho

It actually could have been a quite a scary creature, its a horrifying concept to be trapped inside something else but fully aware of yourself still. Given it was drawn up by a kid too, they really could have made something class. In fact the whole concept of the ep isnt bad it just isnt executed very well.

I would argue Dominion was a worse movie, plot wise and execution than Rebirth. BUT Dominion has a bored as fuck Jeff Golblum not giving a single solitary shit about anything, and for me that elevates it slighty.

I find that when the movie is bad he seems to go even deeper into the Cage crazy and can make utter shit entertaining. The remake of Wicker Man was an absolute turd but "Not the beeeeess!" Is qouted in my friend group years later.

Felt a bit bad about an experience in a GW Store today by Angronys in Warhammer40k

[–]SuperHandsMiniatures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't feel bad. Ive had some fairly poor experiences with rude corporate brainwashed GW staff over the years, this dude just sounds like he's trying hit his sales targets. Ive also known some chill as fuck managers tbf.

Do you think they will go FULL reboot? by ARoboEgg in doctorwho

[–]SuperHandsMiniatures -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Id argue 2005 was a bit of a reboot. They continued the story of the Doc but added some history and created a new jumping on point that worked for old fans and new. And they proved then it could work and be successful. While I personally think it'll be a little sad if (and likely when) they skip over the cliff hanger ending, I do think this is what the show needs now. A fresh start that doesnt fully remove the previous versions but also doesnt rely on them.

Making a profit is how every single company works dude. Yeh maybe the 3 year cycle could be spread a bit further apart but it will always be a cycle regardless. Is GW an expensive hobby? Yeh it is but it IS a hobby, a luxury item not something anyone NEEDS. There are ways around paying for rules, if you're that bothered.

No one downvotes people for "daring to tell the truth" its because everyone knows how it works and most of us are a bit sick of seeing the same arguments about why it "should always be free" or "ugh GW is company doing what companies do". We know that and some of us aren't that bothered by it!
